The Post-CV Artist

For many years the curriculum vitae served as the principal means through which an artistic career was represented: exhibitions, appointments, publications, awards and institutional affiliations. While these remain part of the history of the practice, they no longer constitute its primary form.

The Scriptorium is organised around works rather than career chronology. It presents the evolving grammar of the practice through its topogrammatic, procedural, transmissive and institutional modes.

The most enduring record of the practice lies in its publications: artist books, essays, field papers, monographs and collaborative editions through which the work has been developed, transmitted and returned to use.
