Untitled (Performance), 1986
Hull College of Art, UK
Performance involving the placement of photographic portraits of fellow Fine Art students within a chalk-demarcated floor area. During the action, earth and later leaves were distributed across the photographs until they became partially obscured.
The students represented within the photographs also constituted the witnesses present in the room.
The surviving materials shown here include contact sheets and photographic documentation made by Simon Drury during the performance.
These materials are presented archivally as part of the ongoing retrospective strand of the practice.
